While I am basking in my 9 days of summer, I know some of you, while excited to be done with schedules and homework, will begin to lament about what to do with 10 weeks of summer?! Well, I just read a fabulous article in my local newspaper that might give you some good ideas:
I especially like the idea of encrypted notes to my kids and creating fun summer journals. Jed and the kids have an ongoing bedtime story about the cosmic journey of a band of misfits to create the galaxy’s best ham sandwich. Perhaps, this summer we might try writing it down and letting the kids draw the pictures to our nightly adventures.
